whoops

I just learned a valuable lesson. I tried to edit my blog and I lost a picture so I went back and inserted it again but I could'nt get it to go in where I wanted it. I do need help on this blog of mine. I've tried facebook too and I can't get the hang of it either. But I keep trying. Be patient.

weekend and HONK

We won't be around this summer at all we will be in Memphis. So I got to go to Asa's practice game Sat. Dosen't he have a good batting stance!! His coach seemed really good with the boys (but, his son struck out and left the field crying) and I hope the coach continues to encourage the boys.

It was really cold at the game and most of the boys were not dressed for a ball game in April with Feb weather. Glad I went.

The next exciting thing was the demolition of my

couch. It was the most uncomfortable thing to sit
on and sleeping on it was impossible to I told Phil to just get rid of it. Well we could not get it out the door so we got Brennan, who loves to tear into things and they went at it. Gave Brennan a knife and hammer. That would be a mistake if no supervision was involved but, Grandpa was very good with him and told him what to do and let B do it. They did a good job. When Asa got home they finished it off. Small enough pieces that most of it fit into the trash can. Yea

Then we went to HONK. The ugly duckling story put to music. It was GREAT. Here is Ramie, she was a rabbit in the chorus line and a fish in a dance line of 8. Ella watched. Audrey was a goose in the chorus line and also in a dance line of 8.Ivy was a pig in the chorus line and also a frog in the dance routine. Natalie watched. They had rehearsels every nite this week for 4-5 hours and did 3 shows on Friday, 2 Sat and Sun. It was for Music Youth Theatre (I know I got it wrong again didn't I Michelle). Michelle and Becki both worked hard in helping the kids get to where they were suppose to be and makeup and paint shop etc.

Here is the after show picture with my mom and the girls and Becki snuck in with a very cute smile. We enjoyed seeing it more than once!!! I hope the girls will continue with the program. This was Ivy's and Ramie's 2nd musical and Audrey's first. Asa wants to try out for the next show, he'd be good at it too. I LOVE my grand children and there talents or lack of talents they are mine and they are super. Thanks for the family coming and seeing there shows they do appreciate it. My mom even waved at they while they were dancing/singing. But they were performers and didn't wave back. Gotta love mom. Phil brought his mom the nite before (no camera then). Thanks again for reading this blog and my carrying on about my grandchildern. To think some people miss out on theres for one reason or another. How sad is that.

My Birthday

This is my birthday. We were working in KsCity,Ks during the week and then went to Excelsior Springs, Mo and Phil got us a room at the Elms. It is a Resort/Spa. They are celebrating there 120th anniversary. Al Capon (I think that he was the mobster who stayed there) hung out here. He got me a full body massage, but I didn't think I could handle that so I got an arm and leg one. Well actually they did both of my arms and legs. I really enjoyed that.

My favorite cake is German Chocolate but I only get it when Greg has his birthday and Kathy makes it for him. He then will share a slice with me. So Phil bought me a piece with 4 layers and since he dosen't like coconut I had to eat the whole thing. It took me 3 days. The best thing about my birthday is I can now apply for Social Security (like Linda) YEEAA.
This is just a picture of the library in Kansas City I had read about it in a newpaper article so we found out where it was and went past it. It is all around the parking garage for about a block. Really pretty neat to see.
We had a family birthday party also before we left. Michelle made a plain Chocolate Cake (she is such a good baker and always makes fancy cakes but I waned just a plain) and Laramie made a freezer of home made ice cream and we had a bar b q. It was super. I love my family.

Easter at Sedgwick 2009

I haven't blogged in so long I forgot that I had to put my pictures in backwards. SOOOO my they are in wrong but you can make your way thru it. I hope.

THis is the Easter Egg Hunting group. You can tell they are all having a great time. Sedgwick had made cupcakes, punch and served ice cream bars. Ramie helped hide over 300 plastic eggs. Well actually she said she just threw them out because there were so many.

Here is mom kididng around. Poor dad I wonder if
he ever got any ice cream.

Cambree and Cadyn had a great time. Cambree picked up an egg took the candy out and gave Cadyn the empty egg. OR was it Cadyn who did that. They are so cute together. And believe me Cadyn holds his own with every one. (Definently takes after his Gpa)

Ramie is so helpful with the little ones. I think she was being paid in candy to help them.
And Brennan is very watchful over Cambree and made sure she filled her basket.
More of you will have to come next year. They really have very few kids attending and the kids have a great time. We never hear about it until just before it happens, but really we all knew Easter was coming so next year a couple weeks before Easter be prepared for the Easter Bunny at Sedgwick.
